'Visioning' sessions for Central Corridor station art begin March 11
Central Corridor planners will host a set of “visioning” sessions, beginning March 11, for members of the public to provide input to artists chosen help design the planned 15 Central Corridor light-rail transit (LRT) stations.
Central Corridor planners ask community members to share “ideas on local history and culture around each station with the assigned artist,” according to a Central Corridor press release. Station art committees were created in January to also advise the artists and assist in the March meetings. The release notes that the Metropolitan Council — which is overseeing the project — will have the final say over the designs.
Questions or comments about the visioning sessions can be directed to community outreach staff at Centralcorridor@metc.state.mn.us or by phone at 651-602-1645.
