Help Cadillac and Cornbread get out of town
Cadillac Kolstad (center) and the Flats (Elmer Johnston, left, and Johann Swenson, right) will represent the Twin Cities in Memphis.
On Dec. 18 — a day that the mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul have declared “Greater Twin Cities Blues Music Society Day” — the Eagles Club will host the winners of the Greater Twin Cities Blues Music Society’s “Road to Memphis” competition: Cadillac Kolstad and the Flats (band) and Cornbread Harris (solo).
Both acts will travel to Memphis, Tenn. to represent the Twin Cities in the International Blues Challenge, Jan. 31–Feb. 2. Proceeds from the show will help pay the musicians’ way South for the competition.
Donations to the “Get Out of Town” fund can be made by sending a check to The Greater Twin Cities Blues Music Society at PO Box 0714, Minneapolis, MN 55458; or on the night of the show at the Eagles Club, 2507 E. 25th St.
The show begins at 8 p.m.
